I recently changed my phone and now i'm a proud owner of an android powered device...HTC EVO 4G (what will 1st do for you...lol)...problem is that i didn't even realize that these things could be hacked, which is funny because its so easy and there's so much that they can do after you do.
SOOOOOOO long story short, this post is a step by step on how to root (hack) your device. Like every hack, however there is the risk of bricking your phone (in lamens, it won't work anymore) however these cases account for less that 1%, nevertheless my disclaimer is i take no responsibility for what happens to your phone. With that said my phone is hacked and i wouldn't have it any other way.

Once you've rooted it you can add an application that allows your device to be a mobile wifi hotspot. Unlike the pre-loaded application that came with your device this one wont cost you an extra $30 a month from sprint.
